Senate Floor ceremony celebrating Tim Z. Hernandez and the family of victims of the Los Gatos Canyon Plane Crash

Senator Ben Hueso, Chairman of the CA Latino Legislative Caucus, in collaboration with Senator Bill Monning, introduced Tim Z. Hernandez and recognized him for his work in bringing to light the names of 28 Mexican citizens killed at the Los Gatos Canyon plane crash on January 28, 1948.  On the 70th Anniversary of the plane crash, the Senators welcomed Tim Hernandez, families of 4 of the plane crash victims (Guadalupe Ramirez Lara, Ramon Paredes Gonzalez, Tomas Marquez Padilla, and Francisco Hernandez Duran Llamas) and special guest Ms. Joan Baez to acknowledge the tragic incident and honor the lives of the plane crash victims.
