Hayes-Bautista for a presentation on “El Cinco de Mayo: An American Tradition.”  Come and learn about why Cinco de Mayo – a holiday commemorating the Mexican victory over the French at Puebla in 1862 – is so widely celebrated in California and across the U.S. when it is scarcely observed in Mexico.  Dr.
