SACRAMENTO - Ricardo Lara (D-Bell Gardens) was unanimously re-elected as the Chair of the California Latino Legislative Caucus. Assemblymember V. Manuel Perez was elected as Vice-Chair. He released the statement below following the vote:

I will work tirelessly to ensure that the trust and faith in my leadership will reflect in a united and strong Caucus representing the working families and Latino communities throughout the State.

SACRAMENTO - Senator Ricardo Lara (D-Long Beach) Chair of the Latino Caucus released the following statement after learning that no survivors were found at the wreckage site of the plane that is assumed to be carrying three-time Grammy nominee, actress, businesswoman and Long Beach native, Jenni Rivera:
