Sponsored by the California Immigrant Policy Center
State Capitol, Room 127
This briefing will address immigrant rights organizations concerns regarding health care for all Californians. Despite new coverage options available under the Affordable Care Act, it is expected that 3 to 4 million Californians will still be without health coverage, of which one million will be unfairly excluded due to their immigration status. CIPC is working with partners and allies to address access to health care for the remaining uninsured. The briefing will address health proposals from the Latino Health Alliance and highlight Latino Caucus priority bill, AB 175 (VM Perez).
This legislative briefing will provide an excellent opportunity to develop a statewide dialogue about ensuring health care for all in California and as a way of building support for these essential bills.
If interested in attending, RSVP to gdasilva@caimmigrant.org by Monday, February 10.
