Policy Briefing: State of Latinas in California

April 04, 2016

Please join the California Latino Legislative Caucus, the California Democratic Women's Caucus and California Latinas for Reproductive Justice for an important Policy Briefing discussing the "State of Latinas" in California as it relates to reproductive justice and policy.

California is home to approximately 7 million Latinas. As a growing and influential constituency, Latinas have made significant strides in education, health, and other areas. However, there is a long way to go to fully close economic and social inequities. With nearly two thirds of Latinas living in poverty, it is imperative to address Latinas' social, economic, and political needs. During the State of Latinas policy briefing, CLRJ will discuss key findings on health, education and economic security, in order to inform policies that further advance the overall well-being of Latinas in California.
