Governor Joins Latino Caucus for Community Celebration

(Los Angeles) – The California Latino Legislative Caucus, chaired by Senator Ricardo Lara, held a community celebration with Governor Jerry Brown at the Pico House in Los Angeles to highlight the remarkable legislative achievements of the Latino Caucus. Assemblymembers Cristina Garcia (D-Bell Gardens), Lorena Gonzalez (D-San Diego), Jimmy Gomez (D-Los Angeles), and Senator’s Kevin De León (D-Los Angeles) and Alex Padilla (D-San Fernando) were also in attendance. During his remarks to open the celebration, Senator Lara said, “I’m so proud to say California is not Arizona. Here we value our immigrants. We know they contribute to our economy.
