CA Latino Legislative Caucus Statement Against Anti-Semitism

SACRAMENTO— Today, Senator Maria Elena Durazo, Chair, and Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes, Vice Chair, issued the following statement on behalf of the California Latino Legislative Caucus:

“We are appalled by recent public displays of anti-Jewish hate, fueled by anti-Semitic rhetoric from public figures.

“Make no mistake: words matter. As we continue to see the real, dangerous consequences of hate speech and anti-Semitism in our communities, we must all come together to broadly and unequivocally condemn them.

“The California Latino Legislative Caucus stands in solidarity with our colleagues in the Jewish Caucus, and the Jewish Community in California and beyond, to denounce these horrific attacks.

“Anti-Semitism, bigotry, and hate have no place in California.”
