California Latino Legislative Caucus Applauds Ruling to Uphold CA’s Clear Identification Requirements for Federal Immigration Agents

Sacramento – On February 9, 2026 the California Latino Legislative Caucus (CLLC) applauded the recently announced ruling to uphold California’s Senate Bill 805 (Perez), the No Vigilantes Act.

“On behalf of the California Latino Legislative Caucus, we thank Judge Christina A. Snyder for upholding the No Vigilantes Act, which protects the rights and safety of our communities. This authoritarian government has killed innocent civilians and acted with shameless disregard for our basic laws. With every violation, this federal administration is eroding public trust and jeopardizing public safety. Today’s ruling is a step in the right direction. However, there is more work to do to hold these officers accountable,” said California Latino Legislative Caucus Chair, Senator Lena Gonzalez.
