Sacramento – On June 7, 2025 Senator Lena Gonzalez issued the following statement on behalf of the California Latino Legislative Caucus (CLLC):
“The immigration enforcement actions taking place in my district in the City of Paramount are outright shameless. We are on the scene monitoring the situation, and what is happening is beyond deplorable—using tear gas, dragging people on the floor and having no regard whatsoever for people’s safety. Let’s be clear, this is an attack on our hardworking communities. We will not tolerate this horrible treatment of our immigrant families and all those exercising their right to protest—it is their right! Paramount, Los Angeles, and all our immigrant friends and neighbors in California, we are with you.”

Grupo Parlamentario Latino de California denuncia redadas migratorias en la ciudad de Paramount
Sacramento – El 7 de junio de 2025, la senadora Lena Gonzalez (D – Long Beach) emitió la siguiente declaración por parte del Grupo Parlamentario Latino de California (CLLC):
“Las medidas de control migratorio que se están llevando a cabo en mi distrito, en la ciudad de Paramount, son absolutamente descaradas. Estamos monitoreando la situación en el lugar, y lo que está sucediendo es sumamente deplorable: se usan gases lacrimógenos, se arrastra a la gente por el suelo y no se tiene en cuenta en absoluto la seguridad de las personas. Seamos claros: esto es un ataque contra nuestras comunidades trabajadoras. No toleraremos este trato horrible a nuestras familias inmigrantes ni a quienes ejercen su derecho a protestar; ¡es su derecho! Paramount, Los Angeles y todos nuestros amigos y vecinos inmigrantes en California, estamos con ustedes”.
