SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Luis Alejo (D-Salinas), Chair of the California Latino Legislative Caucus, today praised the California State Supreme Court for elevating Jorge Navarrette to Court Administrator and Clerk of the Supreme Court, the first Latino to serve in that position.

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Luis Alejo (D-Salinas), Chair of the California Latino Legislative Caucus, announced today the budget Governor Jerry Brown just signed included several items that were priorities of the Caucus.

“The 22 members of the California Latino Legislative Caucus appreciate that Governor Brown shared many of the Caucus’ priorities,” Alejo said. “These are priorities that will help all Californians in one way or another, not just Latinos.”

SACRAMENTO, CA - On Monday, May 2, 2016 the California Latino Legislative Caucus will recognize Latino trailblazers in music, education, athletics and public service at its 15th Annual Latino Spirit Awards. Established in 2002, The Latino Spirit Awards take place each year at the State Capitol in Sacramento to coincide with the state’s celebration of Cinco de Mayo and to recognize inspirational figures in the Latino community.
