SACRAMENTO—The California Latino Legislative Caucus (CLLC) announced today that Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Riverside) has been elected to fill the caucus Vice-Chair vacancy for the 2021-2022 legislative session. Comprised of 30 State Legislators (9 Senators and 21 Assemblymembers) including a record high 17 Latinas, the CLLC serves as a forum to develop avenues to empower the Latino community throughout California.

The Latino Spirit Awards were created by the Latino Caucus in 2002 at the State Capitol in Sacramento to highlight positive role models within our diverse Latino community.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - On the eve of Hollywood’s biggest night of the year at the Academy Awards, the California Latino Legislative Caucus has sent a letter to Dave Rubin, President of the Academy of Motion Pictures and Arts, expressing the Caucus’ concern over the lack of representation in the film industry and requesting an update on the Academy’s efforts to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion in the film community.
